바이올렛트리 - Violet Tree
Violet Tree, South Korean band, was formed in autumn of 2013 with vocalist Jiwon and bassist Seowoo. Through meeting, they decided to harmonize electronic and rock in a Korean way and to make various attempts to seek diversity of musical genres.
In the beginning, they used electronic effect through DJ member. However they went through some changes, and they finally got new members, violinist Hyunjin and drummer Hyuna, as it currently is.
Their first single album 「After」 was released in March, 2014 and they began their career in Hongdae, Seoul. In the first year, they performed in various festivals including Soundberry Festa and Jarasum Jazz festival. In April, 2015, they released EP album 「HEDONISM」 and held their first solo concert successfully.
Through the rock music which emphasizes melody and electric violin which is unusual in Rock band made them unique in Korean rock scene. They are highly prospective band since this is just the beginning of their career.
